I ordered some dumplings as a late evening snack. The dumplings were large and delicious. The sauce was abover average with a nice sweet, fermented taste.
Gourmet House is amazing! I love the pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken. The beef and broccoli is good, I always have them steam more! Yummy Service is great
We love Gourmet House! It is the ONLY Chinese restaurant in LaPorte we get food. My favorites are the sesame chicken and lo mein. The staff are always kind and very helpful. The building is older and there are minimal decorations but it doesn't take anything away as they are strictly a carry out restaurant.
Chinese food here is way better than wok n roll down the street. Food here tastes great, isn't hard as a rock and comes with real fried rice and not the yellow junk the other place calls rice. Eat here. You won't regret it. Food was delicious and fast

Best Crab Rangoon around. Chinese food that actually has flavor & generous portions! (Others might 'look' cheaper until you find out the containers are smaller!) AND, when you're tired of pizza, this place delivers!
We came here based on google reviews and were not disappointed. The best chinese food I've ever tasted. Stepping through the door here is like stepping into the home of a Chinese family. The family has their kids studying at one table and a piano set up on another. The mother takes care of the front of the house and the father is in the back cooking up food that is ordered. This isn't your typical Panda Express where the food stays under heating lamps all day. The food is cooked fresh when you order it! I got the twice cooked pork and The Most Interesting Woman in the World got shrimp with cashews. The seasoning was perfect. Usually with Chinese food it's either too salty, sweet, or oily. The dishes here perfectly balanced all 3.
